Iowa Watershed Approach

The English River watershed is grateful for the opportunity to be part of a new statewide watershed initiative, the Iowa Watershed Approach (IWA), which is bringing numerous organizations and institutions together to achieve the following goals:

  1. Reduce flood risks
  2. Improve water quality
  3. Increase disaster resiliency
  4. Engaging stakeholders
  5. Improving quality of life and health
  6. Develop a program that can be replicated across the Midwest and the U.S.
